The incisions are hidden in my hair lines and are healing nicely. I didn’t have any pain at all. It was more of a discomfort. I was swollen and felt tightness which was to be expected. Local anesthesia was used. I was asleep the entire 5 hours of the surgery. It was over before I knew it. This has by far been the best investment for myself. The results of my face/neck lift truly exceeded my expectations. Completely natural, not lifted and stretched, look to my face, neck and jawline. I could not believe I got my neck back, from the way I looked 20 years ago! Yes, it’s that good. The most surprising thing - how very little pain I had. No pain, at all, during the surgery. And I was awake. The most disturbing thing during the surgery was my own imagination. The surgical team knows it and they kept a light conversation going, which helped greatly. Pain after the surgery was not really pain, but a very mild discomfort. I’m two months out, incision are healed, swelling is gone. If I were to give any advice, based on my experience - if you are offered a urinary catheter for the time of the surgery, please take it. Dignity and comfort! If you are offered a recovery suit for the overnight stay - take it. Reassurance, safety, comfort. Seeing Dr. Wu’s kind face early in the morning, while still in bed, seriously made my day. If you color your hair, get it done before your procedure. I hadn’t and had to sport my roots for long weeks after the procedure. I so very glad I chose Dr. Wu. A huge thanks to Joana, the clinical coordinator. It is she, who will be your first contact. She is kind, knowledgeable, passionate, VERY patient and just fun to be around. Amazing doctor! Dr. Wu actually was honest enough to suggest an alternative procedure which cost 1/3 the price of procedure i went to the consultation for. I had surgery yesterday... read more and haven't even needed a Tylenol. I have zero bruising and swelling is minimal. I can not recommend her enough. Please do yourself a favor and book a consultation with Dr. Wu before you book with anyone.
